Turn your standard drill into a simple polishing tool.

This adapter allows you to mount a car polishing pad directly into a regular drill or screwdriver. One side fits into the drill chuck like a standard bit, while the other side uses a right-hand thread for attaching the polishing pad.

It is a practical solution for light polishing, detailing work, small touch-ups, and situations where a full-size polishing machine is not necessary.

Features

  • Fits into a standard drill chuck

  • Right-hand threaded side for the polishing pad

  • Simple one-piece print

  • Useful for car detailing, polishing, cleaning, and workshop use

  • Compact and easy to reprint if needed

Recommended use

This adapter is intended for light-duty polishing and detailing, not for heavy industrial grinding or high-load applications. Use moderate speed, check that the pad is securely attached, and always test carefully before using it on painted surfaces.

Printing notes

For best strength, print with a durable material such as PETG, ABS, ASA, or Nylon. PLA may work for light tests, but it is less suitable if the part is exposed to heat, load, or long polishing sessions.

Suggested settings:

  • Higher wall count for better torque resistance

  • High infill recommended

  • Check the thread after printing before first use

Safety note

Make sure the adapter is properly clamped in the drill and that the polishing pad is fully tightened before use. Start at low speed and increase gradually. Wear eye protection.

Photos show the adapter before and after installation into the polishing pad, printed in transparent PETG. Make sure the pad is fully tightened before use and always start at low speed to check balance.
