Replacement front mudguard mounting bracket modeled from the original part fitted to my Lapierre E-Explorer with Eurofender mudguards.
This part replaces the original plastic bracket connecting the front mudguard to the fork.
Compatibility
Lapierre E-Explorer
Eurofender front mudguard
It may also fit other bicycles using the same Eurofender mounting system, but this has not been tested. Please compare the dimensions and shape with your original part before printing. ( Trek · Diamant · Giant · Koga · Batavus · Gazelle)
Printing
For a functional bicycle part exposed to vibration, water and outdoor temperatures, PETG, ASA or another durable material is recommended rather than PLA.
Better use Wall Loops 3 (at least) and a good infill (25-50%)
I did a little curve to avoid the part
M10 screw included, Use stronger wall loops (4 or 5) and stonger infill (50-75%). You can also use a metal screw for sure
Two bracket versions
Two versions of the bracket are included:
Curved version: slightly curved to reduce the stress concentration at the original weak point and avoid a sharp bend.
Flatter version: closer to a straight profile. I included it as an alternative because the different geometry may provide better strength depending on the material and print orientation.
Both versions are provided so you can test which one works best for your setup.
About the model
This model was recreated from measurements of the original part. It is not an official Lapierre or Eurofender replacement part.
If you successfully use it on another bicycle or Eurofender model, please leave a comment with the bike/model so I can add it to the compatibility list.
.f3d and .3mf included for easier adaptation
