A set of stiff, lightweight control horns designed for the Extreme Flight Extra NG 49". I used Chaservo DS115 which is 6g lighter than Extreme Flight ones and can be driven at 8.2V with a T-Motor ESC. For servo arms I choose the 20mm servo arms.
(I hated the look of original ones on a such nice plane, so I fixed it)
Variants
20 mm: 20 mm from the hinge line to the pushrod hole
25 mm: 25 mm, for more throw
Thin elevator: 20 mm with a shorter tab that fits the thin elevator
On every horn the pushrod hole sits 15 mm in front of the hinge line. Each one has a Ø2 mm pushrod hole and a Ø3 mm mounting hole in the tab.
Design
Ribbed frame with open pockets: stiff without getting thicker
Fillets only on vertical edges and chamfers on horizontal ones, so it prints cleanly flat
~1g in ASA
Print settings
Print flat, no supports
0.2 mm layers, 4 walls, 100 % infill recommended
ASA used for it UV resistency
