When you buy a refill spool of filament from Bambu lab it comes with a small sticker, you can add to one side of the spool. But when your Bambu lab spool is made solid, you can not see through the side of the spool, simply take this tool and slide it over the edge of the spool, and then you can see at the tip of the outside pin, how much filament is left on your spool.
I added a hidden space for a 6x2mm magnet inside the tool, for easy storage on the printer. Just make a pause where the magnet hole is about to be closed off, then insert the magnet. No glue or super is needed since the bed is magnetic.
