Hi 3D printing friends!  This design is a Windscreen clamp/mount that utilizes two materials.

The inner mount that contacts the handrail, as well as the flat gasket, is TPU.  The outer portion of the mount was PETG.

The handrail this was designed for had an oval profile, 1" x 0.75".  To design for different handrails you would need to just change the TPU print design.

The outer PETG part of the mount was designed to accept ¼-20 screws and nuts. The nuts will inset into the print and leave a clean look that can be tightened with just turning the associated screw or bolt.

The TPU parts had the following settings:

  • 0.4 mm nozzle
  • 0.2 layer height
  • 4 perimeters
  • 30% infill (honeycomb)
  • No supports (printed holes facing upward)
  • No raft or brim

The PETG parts had the following settings:

  • 0.4 mm nozzle
  • 0.2 layer height
  • 5 perimeters
  • 30% infill (gyroid)
  • No supports (printed on their sides, holes will be fine)
  • No raft or brim
