This part replaces the headrest on the Nitecore HC65 headlamp. Its function is exatly same as the original.
Printing:
The SidePieces are to be printed from flex material. Made mine from TPU 98A and it works verry well.
The Headrest is available in two versions. one with build in support, so it can be printed only with a brim and one version which has to be printed with brim and support enabled. Print all parts in the given orientation.
Assembly:
Remove the battery cap and the charging port cap from your HC65. Also remove the little O-rings. Put the SidePieces through the HeadRest and slide the SidePieces on to your HC65. Reseat the O-Rings (apply some vaseline) and put the caps back on. Done :)
Note: Removing the O-Rings is really important. If you leave them in place during assembly, they will be damaged and squished while sliding on the SidePieces.

Something unrelated:
If you are looking for a headlamp, this is it!
The HC65 is my daily driver for some long years now. All weather, all situations, on site or just at home. It just works. Because its tiny formfactor, low weight and the overall good ergonomics, it is convinient to wear, even for hours. The 18650 cell is replaced within seconds (if needed) and the integrated charger is convinient. The micro usb is a little outdated though, but if you can get a used HC65 for a few bucks, id suggest get your hands on one. In my oppinion this is the one and only headlamp one could ever ask for.
This got me going to make this replace part in the first place, since a broken headpiece should not be a reason for throwing this little fellow out on the landfill ^^
