This is a compact, functional enclosure designed specifically for the ESP32E-N4 IR Blaster / Receiver board. It features a minimal footprint, toolless assembly, and precise cutouts for operation and connectivity.
Features
Snug Snap-Fit Top: Secure closure with integrated snap tabs—no screws or heat-set inserts required.
Optimized Port Clearance: The USB-C cutout is generously sized and depth-optimized to maintain compatibility with a wide variety of cable molded boots.
Direct Line-of-Sight: Dedicated cutouts for the IR transmitter/receiver components to ensure unobstructed signal propagation.
Hardware Access: Includes top-facing cutouts for onboard status LEDs, sensors, or buttons (e.g., the square and circular openings).
Print Settings & Recommendations
Material: PLA, PETG, or ABS/ASA (PETG or ASA recommended if placed in direct sunlight near windows).
Orientation: Print both parts flat on their faces (lid top-face down, base bottom-face down). No supports required.
Perimeters / Walls: 2 to 3 perimeters.
Infill: 15% - 20% (Grid or Gyroid).
Layer Height: 0.2mm works well. If your printer struggles with tight tolerances, ensure your extrusion multiplier/flow rate is calibrated before printing the snap-fit lid.
