This project enables you to build a sturdy and perfectly fitted insect screen frame for your home without purchasing expensive, pre-made aluminum profiles. The structure relies on widely available plastic or electrical conduits joined together by custom 3D-printed parts.

Save money and make your own mosquito net for your balcony door. The components are very inexpensive – the tubes are very cheap. I used a curtain as the mesh, plus four metal screws cut to 27/28 mm.

The system consists of:

• Reinforced Corners: Right-angle connectors featuring an integrated gusset/brace to ensure maximum rigidity of the frame.

• Mounting / Spacer Blocks: Bottom and top positioning blocks that keep the structure perfectly aligned with the door frame.

• Securing Clips: Small snap-on clamps that hold the mesh firmly in place along the tubes.

Assembly Tips: Components can be secured with small screws for extra durability, and the net is tensioned and locked using the provided clips. Printing in weather-resistant materials like PETG or ASA is highly recommended.

The installation was carried out using a socketed RLM 20/2 m electrical installation pipe - it has a diameter of 22 mm on one side and 24 mm on the other. It can be easily cut to the size of the balcony door.
