This is a mount for the Tapo T300 waterleak sensor designed for the edge of, for example, a water tank. It allows you to monitor whether a tank is about to overflow and trigger an alarm or automate something using a smart home system.
I use it to fill the refill tanks of my aquarium. The solenoid valve on my reverse osmosis system is activated by a Tapo outlet, which fills the tank via a hose. As soon as the water rises to the sensor, it’s detected, and the outlet powering the solenoid valve automatically turns off, stopping the tank from filling any further. This prevents accidental overfilling.
