I needed a new case, for my new "His & Hers desktop". So the criteria was small, quite and easy to build and print.

I needed a new PC case for one of my PC's.

I have recently built a “His & Hers” J shaped computer desk for me and my girlfriend.
The criteria for this project was;

  • Quiet
  • Compact
  • Simple
  • Easy printable parts
  • Large simple parts milled out of ALU sheets
  • Only use one large fan and utilize components for airflow

I think I nailed it, it's a nice tight box, with no fancy approach to making it or assembling it.
If one would want to customize it, one could print out some art on a A3 paper and stick it to either sides.

Power and Reset button will not be on the case, but lead out of the case and onto my desk, as the idea is to have the PC out of the way. Thus I need to have access to the buttons from above my desk. Like my other main PC has.

There are also the possibility of adding 4 rubber feet, if one would like it standing freely. Instead of having it held up underneath the desk as I will have it.

Here are the components I will be running with;

  • Micro ATX “Unknown MB from DELL”
  • Intel Xeon Processor
  • Nvidia QUADRO K2000 GPU
  • SSD 2.5" Storage Disk
  • be quiet! TFX Power 3 300W Bronze
  • Stock Intel CPU cooler, no fan.
  • 140mm Case Fan
