GEN2 115 TABLETOP STARTER KIT

The easiest way to start the GEN2 QuickLock Modular System on any surface. 115 is the MEDIUM depth (about 101 mm inside), sized for pens, cables, tape, small parts and tins. GEN2 was originally built to mount under a desk · this kit lets you stand a full modular unit right on top of any table, bench or shelf.

Two layouts share the same parts — only the quantities change. Print the 3-drawer build to get started, or go straight to the 5-drawer.

The 3W-2H build staggers its covers and foot rails brick-style. Slightly more advanced, and it shows you exactly how runs extend sideways without limit · pens, cables, tape and small tins across three columns.

Each guide opens in your browser · rotate the build, step through assembly, change filament colours to match what you have loaded, and export the parts list as CSV. No sign-up.

NOTHING TO BUY

No screws. No heat-set inserts. No bought hardware at all. The Classic faceplates print their grip straight in and every joint push-fits.

The one optional purchase is magnets · 6 × 10×2 mm for the 3-drawer build, 10 × for the 5-drawer. They give the drawers a soft closure. Skip them and the kit still works — the drawers simply push-fit instead.

Quantities are prints, not parts. QuickLocks and Drawer Stoppers each come as a left/right pair on one plate, so one print gives you both pieces.

The 5-drawer build uses both the 1W and 2W covers and rails so the seams stagger brick-style.

PRINT SETTINGS

• No supports anywhere

• 0.4 mm nozzle · 0.2 mm layer height · 2–3 perimeters

• PETG or PCTG recommended for cases, covers and rails · PLA works but is less durable

• QuickLocks must be PETG — they flex to lock, and PLA snaps

• TPU (95A) for the feet

MULTICOLOUR FACEPLATES

Both Classic faceplates ship with ready-to-slice multi-material 3MF projects alongside the plain STLs, set up for MMU3 with the trim on separate extruders. The single-colour STL is there if you would rather keep it simple.

MAKE IT YOURS

Drawer Stoppers and Magnet Inserts are both optional. Toggle them off under Build options in the 3D guide and it re-counts the parts list for you — handy if you want the drawers to pull all the way out, or you do not have magnets on hand.
