IVAR Multiboard Rail - the Integration

Technical Background

• An IVAR side panel provides 236 mm of internal width.

• This fits exactly:

  • 9MU wide octagon plates (“Regular”, 225 mm width)

  • 11 mm of remaining clearance for installation.

• The plates sit form-fitting inside the side panel, without any modification to the wood.

System Overview

Rail Clips (for the octagon plates)

• Inserted into the side of the octagon plates.

• Later slide inside the guide channels of the IVAR connectors.

IVAR Connectors (guide elements)

• Inserted directly into the hole pattern of the IVAR side panels.

• Contain a guide groove in which the Rail Clips run.

Lower IVAR Connectors (with stop)

• Identical to the standard connector.

• Additionally include an integrated support surface.

• This stops and supports the lowest plate.

Connecting the Octagon Plates

• Plates are connected to each other using Dual Clips.

• Two clips per connection are sufficient.

• For additional planar stability, I developed Mono Clips, which prevent lateral offset between plates.

• In einem IVAR-Seitenteil stehen 236 mm Innenbreite zur Verfügung

• Das reicht exakt für:
  9MU breite Oktagonplatten („Regular“, 225 mm Breite)
  11 mm Restspielraum für die Montage

• Die Platten sitzen formschlüssig im Seitenteil, ohne das Holz zu verändern.

Systemübersicht

Rail Clips (für die Oktagonplatten)

• Werden seitlich in die Oktagonplatten eingesetzt.

• Gleiten später in der Führung der IVAR Connectoren.

IVAR Connectoren (Führungselemente)

• Werden direkt in die Lochstruktur der IVAR-Seitenteile gesteckt.

• Enthalten eine Führungsgrube, in der die Rail Clips laufen

Untere IVAR Connectoren (mit Anschlag)

• Identisch zum normalen Connector

• Zusätzlich mit integrierter Auflagefläche

• Stoppen die unterste Platte

Verbindung der Oktagonplatten

• Die Platten werden untereinander mit Dual Clips verbunden

• Zwei Clips pro Verbindung sind ausreichend

• Zur zusätzlichen Ebenenstabilisierung habe ich Mono Clips entwickelt. Sie verhindern Versatz.
