Another part of my cistern series of stuff… this is for the rain barrel and rain cistern on my property. I drilled holes in the top of the cistern and used these so I could hang a temperature sensor, and temperature bulb to an aquastat, and a 1000w heater from it's electrical cord into the water to maintain the cistern from freezing.
The concept is pretty simple, drill a hole, push the two halfed peices up from the bottom around your cord, and screw it down. It takes some coordination but worked great for me.
I made these in PETG for the outside cistern and PLA for the inside one.
