This holder needs no extra hardware (except for some cable). It comes for 4, 3 and 2 cells. If you dont want to use the integrated switching mechanism, you are going to find a version with no switch and also a version to be used with store bought switches. You are going to find the .step for download too if you want to modify it for some special switches

Printing:
Print all parts in the given orientation with a layer hight of 0.2mm. No support needed. PLA works fine for all parts. If you have some PETG at hand, you might want to use it for the contacts but this is not required.

Assembly:
At first brake loose the latch in the case, then string all parts together like seen on the pictures. For illustration purposes, it is shown only with stripped and and twisted wire. You might do it much neater and solder the wires. The rough and dirty version does work fine though. The wire intended to be used, is 0.14mm² (26AWG). Other wire works fine too but this fits nicely in the casing.

-NOTE-
Do not put glue betwee the Case and the Contacts. They need to flex in order to hold the batteries firmly. If you have to glue them for some reason, put a drop only on one end.

The switching mechanism can tolerate around 2.0A continous current (Using 26AWG coper wire). This makes it fitting for most low current applications, like for decoration and fairy lights or smal RC projects. For reference, one standard servo needs roughly 1A current if it is fully loaded.
