This helper clamp is made for convertible top rear window resealing jobs where you are using thick, clear acrylic double-sided adhesive tape.

Note! This is better than the suction cup stuff you can buy on eBay or Amazon trust me I have used both.

The idea is simple: this part helps hold material in place while also matching the tape thickness so the working surface can stay flush during positioning. It can be used as a clamp or as a fabric holder depending on how you set it up.

One side gives you an offset that is about the same thickness as the adhesive tape, which helps when you need the material to sit even with the taped area. Flip it around and you get a near zero-offset setup for different positioning needs. That makes it useful for alignment, holding fabric back, or helping keep things steady while you work the tape into place.

This is meant as a simple helper tool for resealing work, especially for convertible top rear window jobs where keeping layers aligned and flush can make the process easier.

Ways to use it

  • Use it as a clamp while positioning the window or top material

  • Use it as a fabric holder to keep material out of the way

  • Use the offset side when you want to match the tape thickness

  • Flip it over for a near flush, zero-offset setup

Notes

  • Designed around thick clear acrylic double-sided adhesive tape

  • Best used as a helper/alignment tool during resealing

  • Fit and usefulness may vary depending on your top material, tape thickness, and repair method

In the picture, the leftmost one is being used as a clamp to hold the corner down using only adhesive on the glass. The two middle ones are being used in fabric-hold mode with the zero-offset side, and I have tape on both sides, both the fabric side and the non-fabric side, to help hold the glass and fabric together because the glass wants to fall down.
