Many ceiling lights are designed for flush-mounted (concealed) electrical wiring. If your electrical installation uses surface-mounted conduit or cable, the cable is often pinched between the ceiling and the light canopy, preventing the fixture from sitting flush.
This spacer ring creates the necessary clearance between the ceiling and the light canopy, allowing the cable to pass safely underneath while maintaining a clean and professional appearance.
It also provides additional space for standard mounting brackets if required.
Designed from scratch in Fusion 360 and successfully tested in my own installation.
